NORTHERN MICHIGAN CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT RETURNS WITH “PINS WITH A PURPOSE”
GAYLORD, Mich. — Bowlers from across the region will gather at The Landing Zone in Gaylord for the [60th Annual]Northern Michigan Champions Tournament, taking place [DATES].
Known locally as “The Northern,” the tournament brings together competitive bowling, community recognition and charitable giving for an event that extends well beyond the lanes.
Under the theme “Pins with a Purpose,” the tournament uses its platform to raise money and awareness for organizations supporting veterans, mental health treatment, PTSD recovery and other important community needs. More than $10,000 was raised for community organizations through the 2025 tournament.

The tournament will continue its tradition of honoring military veterans and recognizing bowlers competing in their first tournament. These individual awards are designed to celebrate both service and participation while creating a welcoming atmosphere for bowlers of all experience levels.
